AIMS
The project leads motivates students to be digitally active citizens and it widens their horizons about the digital citizenship - by going through different issues connected with being more educated in the era of the modern, digital world now - in present and in the future. Students can reflect on responsible, active e- digital citizenship as new competence in our fast-paced world. The project work leads students to better understanding of digital rights, desired online behaviour as well as to their digital experience. The students are able to be identified as “digital natives” and they are supported on their way of becoming active, responsible e-citizens.

WORK PROCESS
Work process: November - introduction – countries, towns, schools, students. December – May - the partner schools work on the project. they discuss different issues of the project and discuss these topics: Do you feel as an Italian/Slovak, European or world citizen…?, What constitutes European citizenship?, Are there any points that are disputable about EU policy? What is important for a national identity? What threatens a national identity? Which are national/ European topics that are in discussion in your society? How does the demographic mix influence your feeling of citizenship?. They will also have videoconferences about the discussed isuues, will have debate on digital citizenship topics, like: What is a 'digital footprint’?, What is ‘electronic communication’?, What are the rights and responsibilities of a Digital Citizen?, Why are safety precautions important when using the Internet?, What is social media?, What are the implications of digital citizenship... creating the web site of the project. June - final evaluation.

EXPECTED RESULTS
Better understanding of global, active and digital citizenship, motivation of students and widening their horizons about the citizenship identity, national, European and global citizenship by going through different issues connected with this topic, thus making progress in mutual understanding of the vision of the life in our native countries, its present and future. Digital citizenship understanding and widening students´ knowledge and practical experience about e-citizenship and development of right attitudes to digital citizenship.Creating the webpage of the project and presenting the project to wider public: schoolmates, parents, people in the home town, other schools,...local newspapers and press.
